NECIT was founded on a single conviction. That the engineering industry deserved better, better inspection, better certification, and better support. From a small base in Durham, we set out to build something the sector had never seen before: a genuinely global, fully co-ordinated inspection and certification authority, built on real expertise and uncompromising integrity.

The Global Authority

More than fifteen years on, NECIT has grown into the global authority in welding certification and inspection services with a network spanning over 90 countries, a UKAS-accredited certification body recognised by the UK Government, and a reputation forged on some of the world's most demanding engineering projects.

We have supported pipelines and platforms, wind farms and railways, power stations and pharmaceutical plants. We have stood at the side of fabricators, project managers and procurement teams through some of the most complex and high-stakes engineering programmes on the planet.

That growth has never changed what we are at our core: a company of experts who care deeply about what they do, why they do it, and the impact it has on the world.

When a pipeline carries gas across a continent, when a wind turbine generates clean power for thousands of homes, when a train carries passengers safely to their destination, the weld that holds it together matters. The inspection that verified it matters. The certificate that approved the welder behind it matters.
